Jarrett is a graduate of Wingate College (B.S.), graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity) and graduate of Gardner-Webb University (Doctor of Ministry). He currently lives in Mandeville, Louisiana with his wife of 31 years, Lori. Jarrett has served with churches in Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and North Carolina.
Jarrett is ordained and commissioned by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and currently serves as the Lead Visionary for a new church expression north of New Orleans, Louisiana. The new expression will be mobile (no building) and consist of Friday Night Dinner Parties and a variety of service projects during the week. All who believe that selfless love can change the world are welcome to participate, and all means all. The mission is simple: to love our neighbors.
Jarrett’s hobbies include running, and he is the Ainsley’s Angels Ambassador for New Orleans, a non-profit organization that aims to build awareness about America’s special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life in addition to ensuring everyone can experience endurance events from 5ks, 10ks to marathons and triathlons. His writings and sermons challenge the church to live in the way Jesus taught to transform the world by being a A Movement of Selfless Love.
